It was a very brisk -27 morning. Snow is great. We did a tip to tail slip at the end of training to make for a good track tomorrow.
SG training went well, 2 runs each on track, and 2 runs each to test the jump. Improvement on each run.
Race day tomorrow, single run SG. Starts with women at 10:20am local. Joshua and Patrick continue training for GS on Tuesday. Everyone’s ready to do their best!Pics included are of breakfast, course inspection with Curtis Heather and Ben, and some of the other teams. Oh and a selfie of Heather and Curtis. Curtis is not too impressed!
The SK team arrived safe and sound in Nakiska from a few final days of training in Kimberley.Coaches Curtis Rousseau, Heather Bishop, Gord Poulton and Ben Cousineau got everyone registered and the mission staff gave them an overview of the week. Tomorrow is SG training, with the first competition on Monday, a single SG race. Para’s first race is the GS on Tuesday.I will send a daily update of results and goings-on.Lots of other provincial uniforms wandering around the village. I think the bright green SK uniforms stand out the most, and will likely be in demand for trading, which of course will not happen! You can view results on CanadaGames/2019, and a live stream of one event will be shown, the 2nd run of the slalom competition, 12:45 local on Wednesday.
